COARSE

Written and Directed by Sarah Deller

1845, Yorkshire. Three sisters resist failure and monotony to write some of the strangest and most successful novels of the 19th century.

Blending physical theatre, unconventional staging, and textual material from the Brontës’ lives and writings, this bold, inventive play asks how to find the courage to live a meaningful, truthful life in spite of conventional paths.

COARSE was nominated for a Theatre NS Merritt Award for Best New Nova Scotian Adaptation.
